Easter events and services

On the right you can see the front of our Easter card this year shows spring flowers, eggs, chicks, and baby bunnies - images we all love, representing new life. New life is at the centre of Easter as we think of Jesus dying on a cross but then being raised to life.

Would be delighted to welcome you to any of its Easter services and activities

Palm Sunday, 29 March at 11am
Join in as we think about Jesus riding into Jerusalem and the crowds who laid tree branches on his path. Collect your palm cross.

Good Friday, 3 April at 2pm
We will be reflecting on the love Jesus showed for us on the cross. All ages welcome. Hot cross buns will also be eaten!

Easter Eve, 4 April at 6.30pm
We will be showing the Mel Gibson film "The Passion of the Christ". This has an 18 certificate so it's for adults only.

Easter Day, 5 April at 11am
Come and celebrate the hope of new life that the resurrection of Jesus gives us at a communion service which will be suitable for all ages.

When you pass Christ Church have a look at the words inscribed on the lychgate which read:

 "I am the resurrection and the life".

These words said by Jesus refer not just to his resurrection but to the new life which can be enjoyed by all who believe in him.
